A web app that displays information from a smart toilet to help fight health disparities between SES groups

Problem: People in a lower SES group have less frequent health checks and as a result often get diagnosed with preventable disease much later.

Solution: SmartAss functions as a comprehensive health dashboard providing a “Health Summary” for individual patients by consolidating key health data. It presents detailed results from Urine and Stool Analysis alongside essential Physical Markers, offering a holistic view of a patient’s status. The AI Integration was fun & I played a pivotal role in developing this app, leading the UXR, ideation, and design processes, executing the front-end development, and implementing FHIR for data exports, utilizing a tech stack centered around React, TypeScript, and Vitest.

Problem: Health tech costs quickly add up, doctors often have to rely on expensive apps with bloated features. This not only forces the doctor to learn complicated off the shelf systems but also inhibits their decision making with too much information.

Solution: A Patient Management Dashboard using Python (Flask) and HTMX to help reduce the learning barrier to health tech. It connects to a free FHIR server and offloads simple authentication via web3.

Research suggests that migrants to the United States have a worse diet compared to when they left their countires of origin.

This solution puts forward a design utilizing cognitive & design principles to enhance the next door app to target these individuals.

It is a primary preventative health intervention to improve the diets and have local communities take control of their food supply & logistics.

Originally designed to help in moments of mental health crisis, the user research is currently pivoting this app to a mental health tool for first responders.

The app is designed with multiple chatbots (Innkeepers) that are trained on various mental health data sets.

The feasibility is currently under research. However outsourcing help when humans need it most is not the easiest prompt.
